Coquitlam residents can weigh in on the city's plans for a proposed recreation centre on Burke Mountain.

A survey is available on the city website until Dec. 8 where residents can provide feedback that will assist parks and rec staff as they begin the early planning stages for the facility. The centre is expected to open in 2026.

The online survey is not the only opportunity residents will have to voice their opinions on the proposed rec centre.

Further consultation with council advisory committees and sports users groups will take place in the spring along with an open house on the project later next year. A concept design is expected to be presented to council in 2021.

For more information and to participate in the public feedback survey, go to coquitlam.ca/nerec.
