Vancouver students kick off week of action against climate change with downtown ‘die-in’ (PHOTOS)

Sustainabiliteens Vancouver has several events planned for Sept. 20 to 27

Hundreds of students took to the streets of downtown Vancouver Friday afternoon for a “die-in” kicking off a week of action against climate change.

Participants gathered at Vancouver Art Gallery before moving on to different locations in the area, including Pacific Centre mall and Teck Resources Ltd. office on Burrard Street.

A die-in is a protest that sees participants lay on the ground, feigning death, symbolizing what will happen as a result of inaction by government leaders.
