There are just a few more days left to choose among a wide variety of auction items and support the I Am Someone Ending Bullying Society during the Ultimate Online Auction that ends 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct 18.

The auction is a way of publicly raising awareness and funds for a texting platform to connect youth with resources.

Youth experiencing issues with bullying may be scared and not know what to do, says executive director Andrea Howorth, but by sending an anonymous text message to 211, they can access non-judgmental, professional support, as well as options, information, and referrals to services in their community that can help.

With the site now live, thousands of dollars in merchandise and unique items are up for grabs.

Among the popular items are “The RV’ing Adventure,” which includes a four-day rental in a motorhome equipped with convenience kits, camping table, camping tents. Valued at $1,000 this auction item was donated by Meridian RV.

Other unique items include “The Ultimate Shopping Spree,” “The Ultimate Chef’s Table” or the “The Ultimate Santa Visit.”

Bidders will need to register and will get a text or email message if they have been outbid.  The highest bid wins. All successful bidders may pick up and pay for their items at Coquitlam Centre Customer Service during regular mall hours Oct. 20 through Oct 28.
