Port Coquitlam grocery store employee tests positive for COVID-19

An employee of No Frills in Port Coquitlam has tested positive for COViD-19. The company reports the worker was at the store Nov. 16.

A Port Coquitlam grocery store is the latest to announce a possible COVID-19 public exposure after an employee tested positive with COVID-19. 

According to the Loblaw Companies Limited website, an employee of Sewak's No Frills at 1971 Lougheed Hwy, Port Coquitlam tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19.

The last day the employee worked was Monday, Nov. 16.

The exposure notice comes as the BC Centre for Disease Control reported 636 cases of COVID-19 in the Tri-Cities’ health delivery area, which also includes Burnaby, New Westminster and Maple Ridge. 

Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix are expected to have a press conference today, Monday, Nov. 23, to give an update of coronavirus cases from over the weekend.
