The long weekend calls for sunny skies bookended by rain.

It’s wet out in the Tri-Cities today, but don’t despair, the Easter long-weekend forecast calls for a mix of rain and extended periods of sunny skies.

A low-pressure system tracking off the Pacific towards the Yukon has brought wet skies to the Lower Mainland.

But the rainfall will start to tapper off to showers as we move into Friday. Expect up to 10 mm of rain.

By Saturday, skies are expected to clear as temperatures rise to 15 C.

Sunny skies are expected to continue through Sunday before light rain returns on Easter Monday, delivering up to 10 mm to the Tri-Cities, according to the Weather Network.
