Re. "Privatize CBC - it's no big deal" (Face to Face, The Tri-City News, Nov. 18).
The CBC is more than quality entertainment and a nation-wide voice. The CBC is also high-quality investigation and research.
The Fifth Estate has uncovered many issues that big business and government prefer the public not know.
The Nature of Things has provoked much conversation that is necessary in a democratic society.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper would prefer to rule without questions being raised. Private networks have no interest in standing up for the average Canadian.
Long live Canada's Best Creation.
