The Editor,

I had to shake my head in total bewilderment when I read in Wednesday's edition of The Tri-City News about the draft Partington Creek Neighbourhood Plan getting approval for the first reading and then to continue reading that some councillors are voicing concerns about the lack of green space in the neighbourhood where density will be high.

They can't be serious, can they?

They had acres and acres of green space until a few years ago when thousands of trees were felled to make way for this huge development on Burke Mountain and the cookie-cutter homes that sit there now.

And to leave out of the plans the green space?

I guess cramming thousands of homes into this once-beautiful area was more important than saving the green spaces.
