Re. "The Bateman strategy: Kill TransLink & reg. vision" (Opinion, The Tri-City News, Sept. 6).
I'm disgusted at Gordon Price's attack on Jordan Bateman of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation. Somehow, Price figures it's wrong to call out TransLink on its terrible history of mismanagement. Price's opinion, that taxpayers should blindly agree to TransLink's never-ending quest for more funding, is not surprising from a former politician and social pundit who has probably never had to make a difficult budget choice.
I applaud Mr. Bateman's defence of us, the beleaguered taxpayers. Rest assured, Mr. Price, if there is indeed a "none of the above" option in the future referendum on transportation funding, that will be my choice.
