It's no secret that the Tri-Cities are, at times, an incredibly difficult and frustrating place in which to drive.
There are regular traffic tie-ups, the train crossings at Westwood Street and slowdowns from construction.
There are also ever more cars on the road, despite TransLink's best efforts to get a larger proportion of the population to use public transit.
With the congestion and slow downs, tempers can flare, as was witnessed in Port Moody earlier this week, when police responded to an apparent road rage call on St. Johns Street.
Admittedly, there are people who simply ignore the rules of the road and exhibit poor driving etiquette but that's no excuse to lose your cool and harass another driver just to prove how incensed you are by their actions.
Stay calm, take a deep breath and ease your foot off the gas pedal.
You'll live longer. And you'll be calmer.
