The province is taking care to avoid hassles over the building of the Evergreen Line and has struck three business liaison committees to deal with construction concerns.
With building due to begin this month, the project's executive director, Amanda Farrell, says the committees will be ramped up and communication with commuters and residents will get underway in earnest.
Already, people can get up-to-date traffic information online and with email alerts but rest assured, there will be construction dust, traffic changes and noise.
The issue is not that there will be problems - who doesn't expect a few broken eggs to make an omelet? - the key is in how they are dealt with and Farrell promises open and transparent communication.
That's a good way to begin if you want to avoid the courts and other hassles. It appears the province has learned some lessons from the problems associated with Canada Line construction in Vancouver.
