LETTER: Burke Mountain in Coquitlam has no dog poop fairies

The Editor,

Every evening, just after dark, a group of special people walk the trails on Burke Mountain.

They kindly and quietly retrieve all the discarded dog poop bags left behind. They dispose of these bags properly so they don't foul this once pristine area.

I believe there must be people who actually believe this fairy tale.

Every time my wife and I walk our dogs in this area, we find more and more of these discarded bags - thrown into trees, tucked behind people's shrubs and even in the middle of pathways.

You may have had an after-hours pick up service where you lived before but there isn't one here. Here, if you have a dog, it's expected that you take full responsibility for it.

Jonathan Myers,

Port Coquitlam
