Re. “Warnings won’t do for owners of dogs” (Letters, The Tri-City News, July 8).
How absurd to compare dog urination and defecation to smoking in public.
It is not a matter of fairness to others — second-hand smoke causes cancer.
Yes, I agree that it is gross when dogs urinate or defecate in areas frequented by people, especially children, but let’s be realistic.
What about all the wildlife that does the same? Have you ever been to Lafarge Lake amongst the goose poop? Robert Hope Park and the bear patties?
What about parents who let their little boys just drop their pants and urinate any old place?
Please do not take your personal cleanliness issues and use dogs as a forum to vent.
