Re. “$1M in cost overruns for park work” (The Tri-City News, May 18).
They pave paradise and put up a concrete eyesore, otherwise known as an amphitheatre.
The $3.2 million spent on the amphitheatre in Coquitlam’s Town Centre Park could have been better used elsewhere.
The area was a quiet, peaceful space in the midst of a busy city. This creation is totally out of character for the area, an area that had been very well planned.
Thanks a lot, city council.
