The Editor,

We finally got some of the skinny about what is planned for densification at the Burnaby side of the corner of Austin Avenue and North Road.

The first of the new structures was in an ad in the Sept. 2 edition of The Tri-City News.

Hold on to your hats, folks, and be prepared for a traffic nightmare called “The City of Lougheed… Canada’s largest new master-planned community” — now, isn’t that precious. It is said to be the first one of the planned 25,000 so-called “new homes” right on the corner on a street near you.

So in the near future, when you step into your self-driving car with no steering wheel or brake pedal, you sure won’t be moving any more quickly going west on Austin Avenue.
