The Editor,

Re. "Coquitlam grad says youth aren’t apathetic — and proves it" (The Tri-City News, Oct. 10).

I am so impressed with Laef Kucheran for developing his app to help young voters get involved and vote.

As a 70-year-old who knocked on hundreds of doors for my party during the last provincial election, I was so discouraged that so few people bothered to vote. It jaded me so much and I realized that if young people don’t care, we will be in more trouble than ever.

Thank you, Laef. You give me optimism. I am a retired college instructor and we have many special young people. Laef is clearly one of those special young people.
