The Editor,
I have for many years been trying to trace the descendants of William Tuohey, a veteran of WWI. He was my great uncle born in Bristol, England and emigrated to Canada in the early 1900s. I recently came across an article printed in your newspaper in 2014 that spoke about Will and how involved he was the Canadian Legion and how he was honoured by them.
I know that he and his brother, Fred, returned to England to take up the fight for freedom along with their two younger brothers Henry and Francis.
Unfortunately, I was too late to know either Will, Fred, Henry and my grandfather as he died when my father was only six. I understand that the family lived mainly in the Port Coquitlam area and were highly regarded and wondered if this is how Tuohey Avenue got its name. I would be so grateful if you were able to print this letter in the hopes of finding any information.
