LETTER: No thanks, Coquitlam, for your $30k study

Fremont connector
The north part of the Fremont connector will dead-end at Devon and Lincoln, Port Coquitlam city council voted this week.

The Editor,

Re. “Devon chosen route” (The Tri-City News, July 29).

Let me get this straight: Port Coquitlam taxpayers will build a new road to Coquitlam doorsteps, to appease all those owners of expensive Burke Mountain homes and the city is still whining?

Coquitlam wants PoCo to pay for half of a $30,000 report simply because it doesn’t like where the road ends?

I sure hope PoCo doesn’t give in to the greedy request. Coquitlam wants to recoup some money? Just install another slot machine at the casino.
