This is an accident waiting to happen.
With the addition of the Inlet Centre SkyTrain station in Port Moody and new housing developments in the area, nearby Falcon Drive in Coquitlam has become a busy street.
Street parking is common during the day and visibility can be restricted at the intersection of Falcon and Runnel drives. As a nearby resident, I have witnessed numerous close calls at the aforementioned intersection.
There was a very scary recent incident caught on camera (see video shot just before 4 p.m. on July 15, 2019).
A formal request has been submitted to the city of Coquitlam's engineering department for a traffic signal at the Falcon/Runnel intersection.
Let's avoid any future close calls.
