Letter: 'Inflammatory' headline on Vagramov story

"The letter from New Westminster council arising from a closed-door meeting was written when Mayor Vagramov returned to duty believing that resolution of his charge was imminent," says the letter writer.

The Editor,

Re. "New West wants Vagramov off Metro Vancouver board" (tricitynews.com, Nov. 25).

Sadly, I'm unsurprised by the inflammatory and out-of-context headline.

Is The Tri-City News capable of producing a non-partisan article regarding Port Moody Mayor Rob Vagramov?

The letter from New Westminster council arising from a closed-door meeting was written when Mayor Vagramov returned to duty believing that resolution of his charge was imminent.

The mayor then resumed unpaid leave in October after outcry by certain residents and a motion by Coun. Diana Dilworth, and went back to work Nov. 18 after the charge was stayed the previous week.

The Tri-City News continues to stir the partisan pot.
