The Editor,

How honest are people? If you found a piece of jewelry, how much effort would you make to find the owner or would you just keep it?

About a month ago, I lost a gold unicorn pendant and chain after removing it for an X-ray at Eagle Ridge Hospital. I then ran a few errands, so I am not sure where I lost it.

I have posted on Kijiji, Craigslist and Facebook. I have contacted the lost and found of all the businesses I visited. I ran a paid ad in The Tri-City News offering a reward. I contacted pawn brokers, gold buyers and police.

I don't know what else to do. I am heartbroken at losing something I have worn for more than 40 years.

Any found valuables can be turned in at any police station no questions asked.

I am hoping for a good Samaritan.
