The Editor,

Re. "Port Moody seeks revenue-generating ideas" (tricitynews.com, July 20).

As Port Moody council's attempt to grasp at straws to increase city income has predictably failed perhaps, it should now do what all responsible families and businesses do in these circumstances and look at reducing expenditures to reduce the debt.

Obviously, PoMo council took its eyes off the ball when it allowed the debt to mushroom from $5 per head to $557 since 2005. Where else would this have been allowed?

It's our money, nor yours. Get serious.
