Many thanks to Coquitlam city workers

The Editor, Kudos to our city's workers. Thanks to the clerical, planning, engineering and inspecting staff who helped my husband and I as we constructed an addition to our house over a series of years. Their information and advice was invaluable.

The Editor,

Kudos to our city's workers.

Thanks to the clerical, planning, engineering and inspecting staff who helped my husband and I as we constructed an addition to our house over a series of years. Their information and advice was invaluable.

Thanks to our Smithrite waste management workers. They do an efficient, competent job of keeping city waste under control. Not only do they actually run (not walk) from house to house, but they do so with friendly waves and smiles.

These are only two examples of public work that we sometimes take for granted or are quick to complain about as we rush around in our busy lives.

When you think about the complex infrastructures involved in maintaining the high quality of life to which we have all become accustomed, you have to be thankful to all of the planners, managers and frontline workers our municipal tax dollars pay for.

Money well spent, as far as I can see.
