Re. "Potential family affair in Port Moody" (The Tri-City News, Oct. 1).

I laughed out loud when I read the quotes attributed to Coun. Zoe Royer and her husband, Gaetan Royer, relative to their plans to seek election to Port Moody city council on Nov. 15.

From many things I've read and from comments I've heard from elected and business folks who've dealt with the city administration over the period of Royer services in management and on council, I will be very disappointed if Port Moody voters commit the city to four years of Royer rule. I believe that would bring our city very negative results - in economic, tax and quality-of-life terms.
