Not all handicaps visible

The Editor,

Re. "Why were able-bodied in handicapped zones?" (Letters, The Tri-City News, Jan. 8).

I truly believe there is misuse of handicapped parking but there are also medical issues that people cannot see.

I have been approved for a parking pass but if you saw me get out of my vehicle, you would never know why.

Hang around for half an hour, however, and you'll see how my back injury affects me. The passes should only be used if the person with the disability is in the vehicle.

Disabilities are not always seen, sometimes they are just felt.
