Port Coquitlam should get an Evergreen Line station

The Editor,

It's extremely heartening to read that a transportation consultant will assess Port Coquitlam as a prime location for extending the Evergreen Line eastward. It made no sense not to use Port Coquitlam as the last station on Evergreen's Line since it already has a hub for buses and trains off Kingsway. So it naturally makes the most sense to put it where it can later be expanded towards Pitt Meadows and further east.

Why this was even overlooked in the original plan hasn't made logical sense right from the start. Wouldn't you want to end the line where there already is a hub for other transportation options for travelers?

Let's hope someone with a clearer eye will see what has been missing from Translink's plans so far. Here's hoping good sense will prevail and Port Coquitlam, which should have had that last station, will finally be included.
