Property tax increase is not 'good news'

Re. "2.8% tax hike on homes" (The Tri-City News, Dec. 4).

Again, Coquitlam is reaching into our pockets with yet another yearly tax increase. They are calling it the "good news budget."

When will this stop? Wages and pensions are not going up. Soon, the money will run out.

Coquitlam is getting millions from the casino so the first thing council should do is use that for city expenses and not give it all away. Since the casino went in, the greed for money is astronomical and they keep taking more.

Every dollar taken from the people results in less money going back into the economy. Everyone will suffer.
