The Riverview Hospital grounds are historic sites and must be preserved. In this context, the heritage conversation is a must not an option.
For years, Crease Clinic was a dumping place for families, and many people never left the grounds. Then it closed and the government rents it to the movie industry because money talks. Unfortunately, Riverview has had no updates and moving the patients from surroundings they have spent more than half their life is not good.
Fact is, these buildings can be saved and, if the government updated the buildings, there would be lots of room for the patients and facilities for the homeless not to mention good jobs for people such as doctors and nurses.
Instead, everybody thinks of the mighty dollar and developers are waiting in the wings.
Watch out, the government is waiting to pull a fast one and no one cares because Riverview area is not in a rich area.
