Stolen package only valuable to family

The Editor,

To the person who stole the package off my parents' front porch last week on Westwood Plateau:

The UPS package you took, perhaps by accident, really contained nothing of value to you. It contained my brother's graduation photos and certificate from his master's studies.

We are incredibly proud of him for his accomplishments. He went to hell and back to get his degree. He worked two jobs and many overnight shifts to pay his way through school on his own.

That piece of paper is worth nothing to you but means everything to us.

Our grandparents will be heartbroken that they will not get to see his graduation photos because their frail health prevented them from going in person.

Please return our package - no questions asked. You know where we live.
