The Editor,

I would like to recognize a very helpful and kind lady who lives in your community. I did not think at the time to get her address to be able to send a much appreciated thank you.

We live in Victoria and my 15-year-old son was in Coquitlam for the B.C. high school field lacrosse championships March 7 to 10 at Town Centre Park. My son lost his cellphone on the first day he was there. A very nice lady by named Lucy found his phone and waited for someone to call. She told me that if he could contact her, she could return his phone to him. Lucy was even willing to drive 25 minutes to drop off my son's phone at his hotel. When he did contact her on the Thursday afternoon, she immediately went to the field where he was and gave him back his phone within 15 minutes.

There aren't many times in your life you come across people like Lucy, so willing to help even at their own inconvenience. Thank you, Lucy, for your thoughtfulness and caring attitude. People like you make the world a wonderful place.
