A lot has changed in the newspaper industry. One of the biggest changes has been the demise of dedicated photographers whose daily duty it is to document their community with images. Such a job description is now regarded as a fiscal luxury in the challenging business climate for paper-and-ink media. Now, everyone in a newsroom has to be able to do a bit of everything. But the hunger for images is greater than ever. Here you will see some of my favourite images I shot in the past year, telling stories around the Tri-Cities, along with a bit of commentary about what it took to get those photos. Enjoy.
