Are you looking to jump back into the world of learning, but not sure where to begin? Do you want to change careers, or get that degree you’ve always dreamt of, but lack the required credits?

You don’t have to do it alone. Coquitlam Continuing Education (CCE) is here to help.

CCE has served as a pillar of adult education in the Lower Mainland for over 50 years, helping adult learners aged 17 or older achieve their educational goals in a supportive, inclusive, and understanding environment.

Designed specifically for adults, CCE offers a diverse curriculum, providing the opportunity to learn or improve English language skills, receive a high school diploma, improve course grades for post-secondary education, enhance business and career prospects, or pursue new projects and passions, such as soap making, painting, lawn care, and even an introduction to wine tasting.

Accessible education for all

One of the key services provided by CCE is the opportunity for students to obtain their high school diploma or upgrade their high school education.

The best part? You may even be eligible to do it for free.

The kind folks at CCE believe that education should be accessible to everyone. If you haven't graduated from high school in Canada or another country and are a resident of British Columbia, all high school credit courses are completely free! Even if you're a high school graduate just looking to upgrade your marks in particular courses, tuition is still 100% free of charge for most courses.

While a traditional high school diploma requires 80 credits, adult learners can receive their diploma after completing just 20 credits. That’s just 5 courses – and in some cases you might only need to take 3 courses to graduate.

The dedicated instructors at CCE provide in-person support through scheduled appointments, ensuring their students receive the assistance they need.

Can’t make the commute, or have a tight work schedule or busy family life? Worry not! A suite of online courses at the Coquitlam Learning Opportunity Centre (CLOC) offer flexibility, allowing you to learn at your own pace and on your own schedule. You can also register for courses anytime throughout the year, making it convenient for busy individuals who simply can’t adhere to a typical semester format. Whether you're a working professional or busy with the kids, CCE’s flexible learning approach ensures you can pursue your educational goals without sacrificing other aspects of your life.

CCE provides three pathways to help students achieve their goals: Literacy Foundations, High School Credit, and Business Careers + Job Skills. These programs provide you with the necessary knowledge and qualifications to improve your job prospects or help you pivot career paths to get working sooner.

CCE offers a wide range of programs to fit any need. Course offerings range from Biology, Calculus, and Physics, to English, Spanish, History, Chemistry, Mandarin, Accounting, and much more.

Coquitlam Continuing Education is committed to fostering lifelong learning and empowering individuals to reach their full potential. As an integral part of the SD43's strategic plan Directions 2025, CCE exemplifies the district's dedication to developing educated citizens and the pursuit of excellence.
