The Coquitlam Adanacs emerged from the tumult of the past five days with a 10-7 victory over the Langley Thunder in their Western Lacrosse Association game, Wednesday at the Langley Events Centre.

With new coaches behind the bench, new executives in the front office and two star players departed to Maple Ridge, the Adanacs scored four unanswered goals in the third period to turn a 7-6 deficit at the end of the second period into just their second victory of the season. The win also put them even on points with the Thunder; each team has four.

New-acquired Chase McIntyre, one of two players sent by the Burrards — along with two first-round draft picks and future consideration — in exchange for the 2019 playing rights to goalkeeper Christian Del Bianco and sniper Wes Berg as well as other components, scored the winning goal with less than two minutes left in regulation. John Hofseth had tied it just over three minutes earlier. Jaeden Gastaldo and Carson Barton scored insurance goals into Langley’s empty net.

Matt Delmonico had five points to lead Coquitlam’s offence, which avenged a 12-8 loss to Langley last Saturday. Hofseth finished the game with two goals and an assist. Goalie Andrew Gallant stoped 38 shots in the Adanacs’ net.

The Adanacs travel to Victoria for a game against the Shamrocks Friday night at the Q Centre.
