Ravens flying high heading into playoffs

The Terry Fox Ravens will host the Carson Graham Eagles, from North Vancouver, in the first round of the BC Secondary Schools Football Association playoffs on Saturday. The game will be played at 5:30 p.m.

Terry Fox Ravens running back Jaden Severy ran for three touchdowns and scored two more on a pass reception and an interception to lead the fourth-ranked Ravens to a 84-8 win over the crosstown Centennial Centaurs in their BC Secondary Schools Football Association game, last Friday at Percy Perry Stadium in Coquitlam. The Ravens, who led 49-0 in the first quarter, set a new school record for points scored in a game, five more than their old mark of 79. The Ravens will meet Carson Graham in the first round of the playoffs.

The Terry Fox Ravens will host the Carson Graham Eagles, from North Vancouver, in the first round of the BC Secondary Schools Football Association playoffs on Saturday. The game will be played at 5:30 p.m. at Terry Fox field at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby.

The Ravens finished the regular season with five wins and two losses, good for third place in the Eastern Conference. They defeated crosstown Centennial Centaurs 84-8 in their finale last Friday at Percy Perry Stadium in Coquitlam.

Jaden Severy scored five touchdowns in the win, that set a record for the Ravens for the most points ever scored by the team in a game.

The Eagles finished sixth in the Western Conference, with two wins and five losses.
