ELEX42: Advance voting opens Friday

Constituents in the Tri-Cities two ridings of Port Moody-Coquitlam and Coquitlam-Port Coquitlam can vote early in the federal election.

Advance polls are open Friday at designated locations, depending on where voters live. Be sure to check your voter identification card for the polling site address or, if you haven't received a card in the mail yet, go to elections.ca and type in your postal code to find your specific station.

Advance voting opportunities will also be held on Oct. 10, 11 and 12. General election day is Oct. 19.

The candidates in the federal riding of Coquitlam-Port Coquitlam (currently held by Conservative MP James Moore, who is not seeking another term) are:

• Lewis Clarke Dahlby (Libertarian)

Douglas Horne (Conservative)

Ron McKinnon (Liberal)

Brad Nickason (Green)

• and Sara Norman (NDP).

And the candidates running in the federal riding of Port Moody-Coquitlam (currently held by NDP MP Fin Donnelly) are:

Jessie Adcock (Liberal)

Fin Donnelly (NDP)

Tim Laidler (Conservative)

Marcus Madsen (Green)

• and Roland Verrier (Marxist-Leninist).
