Coquitlam teens can earn volunteer hours by being kind

Middle and high school students in Coquitlam can get their volunteer hours in through a virtual program offered by the city.

Next month, teens ages 13 to 18 can sign up for Acts of Kindness, a free online class that runs on Thursdays from April 8 to May 13 and challenges participants to spread goodwill through an activity.

Meanwhile, registration is also open for in-person sessions such as:

• Art and Games (11 to 14 years old): Wednesdays, April 7 to May 12, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Pinetree Community Centre

• Life Skills (14 to 18 years old): Thursdays, April 8 to May 13, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Poirier Community Centre

• Hands on Art (11 to 14 years old): Thursdays, April 8 to May 13, from 4 to 5 p.m. at Poirier Community Centre

• Badminton Youth League Skill Development (15 to 18 years old): Thursdays, April 8 to May 13, from 5:45 to 7 p.m. at Pinetree Community Centre
