You can learn some new dance moves, pick up basic Spanish phrases and play a song on the ukulele in new virtual classes offered by the city of Coquitlam.

The online sessions, which are geared for adults, begin soon: 

• Art: Explore colour mixing, colour theory and capturing the light, in a fun, learning environment. Supply lists will be distributed with registration confirmation. Try out Acrylics Painting All-Levels (34916), Acrylics Painting Beginners (34919), Coloured Pencil Drawing – Portraits (30195) or Intuitive Abstract Acrylics (32901)

• Dance: Beginner and intermediate dancers can learn basic steps across several music genres. Mastering the steps and sequences provides a good mind/body workout and a boost to your brain power by improving your memory skills. No partner required. Sign up for Line Dance Beginner (34932) or Line Dance Intermediate (34931)

• Spanish: Learn basic elements of Spanish including the proper pronunciation of words, greetings, vocabulary and basic grammar to be able to read, speak and understand the language. Register for Spanish Beginner 2 (35016), Spanish Beginner 3 (35017), Spanish Beginner Continuing (35018) or Spanish Conversation (35019)

• Music: Learn basic chords and strums in this introductory course. No experience required but you will need to have your own ukulele. Sign up for Ukulele Beginner (35014) or Ukulele Intermediate (35015).
