Ben Craig to run for Coquitlam council seat

Craig will challenge fellow residents Rob Bottos, Matt Djonlic, Ali Tootian and Harvey Su.

There'll be another name on the Coquitlam council ballot for this fall's civic vote.

Today (Monday), Ben Craig announced via the Tri-City News he’s taking another run for municipal office after placing 10th in the 2018 general election.

A certified financial planner for more than 20 years, Craig said he “hopes to bring an understanding of budget planning to his new position at city hall.”

A resident of Maillardville, Craig is the the president of the Maillardville Residents Association and previously served as the president of the Oakdale Neighbourhood Association.

Currently, he serves as a board member for the Greater Heights Learning Academy, a special education institute.

He’s also active with his church and is a former baseball coach.
