Beautiful photos of Port Coquitlam are being sought for the city's new calendar.

This year, the city is again looking for public submissions showing the community's natural beauty for its 2023 calendar.

And that's not all: Chosen photos may be used to wrap around utility boxes or displayed at city facilities.

The deadline for high-resolution images of Port Coquitlam landscapes, flowers and wildlife is Oct. 3.

For the best possibility of having your photo selected, enter images that showcase Port Coquitlam landscapes, flowers and wildlife from all four seasons.

Images that show the photo was taken in Port Coquitlam are preferred to close-ups.

Titled Naturally PoCo, the city’s 2023 calendar will include the waste collection schedule, city information and space for users to write in their personal schedules.

Additionally, all submitted photos will be placed at the end of this year in the online gallery

Photo credits will be applied to all submitted photos used in the calendar, and whenever possible in other city publications.

To be considered for the calendar and banners, photos must meet the following criteria:

  • Format: jpeg, png or tiff
  • Orientation: horizontal
  • Size: at least 300 dpi, 13” wide by 10” deep OR a file size of at least 2 MB
  • File label: photo name, location, year taken and photographer’s name (e.g., Scenic Sunset-Pitt River-2021-Bob Smith.jpg)
