Utility bills for 2023 are due soon in Coquitlam (March 31), Port Coquitlam (March 31) and Port Moody (Feb. 28).

Heads up, homeowners.

Each Tri-Cities municipality is reminding local residents that utility bills are due, including in just a few short days in Port Moody.

Tuesday (Feb. 28) is the deadline for those living in the City of the Arts to pay their water, garbage, recycling and sewer bills, which is set to cover the cost between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31 this year.

Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam will have an extra month until March 31 to pay the costs.

However, in each community, property owners could face a five per cent penalty of the full amount if they don't pay before the deadline.

And another five per cent will be added to the total if not paid by March 31 in Port Moody, May 31 in Port Coquitlam and Sept. 30 in Coquitlam.
