Identity sought in alleged grocery store assault in Coquitlam

Police are looking for information about an assault in an incident involving a woman with a small child.

Coquitlam RCMP are seeking the identity of an alleged assault.

RCMP are seeking the identity of a suspect involved in an alleged assault at a Coquitlam grocery store in early November.

Mounties responded to an assault inside the Real Canadian Superstore — located at 3000 Lougheed Hwy. — between 4:20 p.m. and 4:40 p.m. on Nov. 4, according to a news release.

The suspect is reported as assaulting a woman who was seen with a small child.

The suspect is described as:

  • Asian male
  • 25–35 years old
  • About six feet tall
  • Medium build

The suspect was seen wearing:

  • Grey toque with fur pompom on the top
  • Black winter jacket with large collar
  • Dark coloured pants
