A Port Moody resident is asking local dog owners to be considerate of others and pick up your pooch's poop, even in the snow.

The Editor:

To all the irresponsible dog owners: When your dog poops in the snow and you don’t pick it up, where do you think it goes when the snow melts?

We see piles all over the Tri-Cities everywhere.

In two days, I picked up 30 piles of dog poop in the off-leash park at Rocky Point Park!

I don’t have to pick it up, but my dog likes to play there and I don’t want him stepping in it or getting it on my shoes either.

And piles are always left behind — even when it hasn’t snowed.

Picking up dog waste is part of having a dog.

Please pick up; humans and other dogs will say thank you!
