Tri-Cities foodies that wish to support local restaurants and establishments can still participate in the second edition of a food-and-drink festival.

And, there's nearly one week left to do so.

Taste of the Tri-Cities has been showcasing chefs' and creators' specialty dishes that not only provide discounts to interested guests, but celebrates the hard work they put in to give back to the community.

The 2023 restaurant list grew to more than double what it was during its inaugural campaign in 2021.

More than 50 eateries are spread across Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody, and each location offers a set menu that features "exclusive discounts," as well as take-out features and offers to satisfy everyone's palate.

Next Sunday (March 12) is the last day of the four-week festival, co-hosted by the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce (TCCC) and the Tri-Local Collective, which was launched during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Anytime that consumers can support local businesses, it really ends up helping the community as a whole — and this festival, in my opinion, makes that fun and delicious," said Christina Brown, TCCC operations manager, in an earlier interview with the Tri-City News
