A new Indian food restaurant is under construction just off Lougheed Highway in southwest Coquitlam.

Naan Club Indian Cuisine Ltd. will soon open at 102-100 Schoolhouse St., in School House Square, where I Am Pho, C-Market Coffee, Narita Sushi, Wendy's and Ricky's Country Restaurant are located.

The restaurant is keeping a low profile on social media, but is currently hiring a restaurant manager, among other jobs, according to The Canada Career website.

Naan Club takes over space that used to have Greek food (Kefi Greek Kouzina).

More recently, the stand-alone-restaurant building was an Asian Fusion restaurant called Nubo Grill and Tapas.

Nubo closed after a small fire that emergency responders believed was an electrical fire.

However, the scene now is one of busy construction.

Workers are currently on scene at the building hoping to transform the space into a bustling restaurant to add to Coquitlam's growing food scene.
