A Port Coquitlam dancer will perform on Saturday, April 6, in a showcase at the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival.
Scarlet Delirium is one of several entertainers lined up for the Showpony Soirée, a program that celebrates “sexuality and gender expression though comedy, drag and sensual striptease,” according to the festival website.
Headlined by Red Tongued Raven and Moscato Sky, the production begins at 8 p.m. at the Vancouver Playhouse (600 Hamilton St.).
Tickets start at $50 and are now on sale.
It’s not the first time Scarlet Delirium has appeared at the annual fest; the costume designer, model and co-founder of Virago Nation — Canada’s first all-Indigenous burlesque act — was also featuring in the 2019 round.
Started in 2006, the festival is the country’s longest-running burlesque gathering; it runs until Sunday, April 7 and includes online viewing options.
