Got a heartwarming, funny or even an emotional holiday story to share? We want to hear them.

Happy holidays!

In the lead up to Dec. 25, the Tri-City News will publish a series of short stories from readers as part of our inaugural 'Twas the Week Before Christmas series.

We’re calling for stories of no more than 2,500 words that relay a real or imaginary tale about something that happened on The Big Day.

The story can be funny or sad, can describe a place in the Tri-Cities or elsewhere and can involve you or an unknown person(s).

Submissions will be edited according to The Canadian Press style. And the Tri-City News reserves the right to select the appropriate stories for our publication: tricitynews.com.

To enter, email your original work to [email protected] and include your name, age, city of residence and the story title; you may also want to include a photo or YouTube video to accompany the piece.

We hope to have our first story online by Sunday, Dec. 17!
