Suspect sought after reportedly exposing genitals in Coquitlam store

RCMP release images of a man that reportedly exposed his genitals to a woman in a Westwood Plateau retail store.

Images of a suspect from an indecent act case in Coquitlam this past summer have been released by Mounties today (Oct. 6).

The public is now being asked to help identify the man in the photos as police continue to investigate the Aug. 19 incident in a Westwood Plateau shopping mall.

In a news release, Coquitlam RCMP said the detachment received a report that a man exposed his genitals to a woman while in a retail store near Johnson Street and Parkway Boulevard.

Spokesperson Cpl. Alexa Hodgins said the behaviour is disturbing as officers were told the store was busy at the time and children were nearby.

It is important for the public to be aware of these incidents and to report indecent activities to police, she added.

Police are asking for statements, dash cam or video footage from witnesses, specifically from between 5:30 and 6 p.m. on Aug. 19.

  • 40 to 49 years old
  • 5'9"
  • Medium to heavy build
  • Bald with brown hair
  • Light brown moustache beard
  • Last seen wearing...
    • Black Nike check sport shirt
    • Dark cargo shorts
    • Black and white sandal slides
    • Carrying bathmats
