Give blood

Teams with the Canadian Blood Services will be in Port Moody to take blood from donors at Site B (3012 Murray St.). Book online for an appointment.

Junior archaeologist

Kids ages five and up can learn about archaeology while conducing a mini excavation at the POMO Museum (2734 Murray St., Port Moody). The spring break event starts at 1 p.m. and participants can take home their treasures. The cost is $15 per guest.

Switch It Up
Get your game on this spring break with Nintendo Switch in the Terry Fox Library (2150 Wilson Ave., Port Coquitlam). Test your driving skills with Mario Kart at this drop-in session from 2 to 4 p.m.

Artist talk

It's a special happy hour artist talk with Silas Ng by the Art Gallery at Evergreen (1205 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam) at 5:30 p.m. Delivered in American Sign Language (ASL), Ng will talk about his practice and new public art installation called Music in My Eyes, which can be seen on the facility's windows. Afterwards, tour the art gallery where the exhibit Paths is showing.

Legion tunes

Dance to the music from Under Fire at the Royal Canadian Legion (1025 Ridgeway Ave., Coquitlam). The band will be on the stage from 7 to 10 p.m. to entertain.

Live music

It’s a double bill at the Crossroads Coffeehouse, located in the Mabbett Room at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave.), where Pearl (Kathy Francis and Andrea Smith) and Lindsay Wills and Matt Kennedy will perform. The show in support of the Crossroads Hospice Society starts at 7:30 p.m. Entry is with a minimum donation of $10 (cash only at the door).

Ha ha

It's stand-up comedy night at Taylight Brewing (402-1485 Coast Meridian Rd, Port Coquitlam) where Steve Taddy will entertain at the 19+ event, starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
