Help with Dementia
The Coquitlam Public Library and the Adult Cognitive Wellness Centre offer a program for family caregivers of people with dementia. The workshop is from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the City Centre branch (1169 Pinetree Way) with speaker Karen Tyrell.

Legion Week
Head over to the Port Coquitlam branch of the Royal Canadian Legion (2675 Shaughnessy St.) during Legion Week to see what Branch 133 has to offer. On Sept. 19 and 21, there's canasta at 1 p.m. On Sept. 21, bring the family for a music bingo at 5:30 p.m. The designated week wraps up with a Hawaiian dinner an dance on Sept. 23 with music from Rebel Beach. No membership is required.
