Wanted man formerly charged in Coquitlam for substance possession

B.C. police are asking for help in finding Richard Voszler, who is wanted out of New Westminster and has a history in the Tri-Cities.

Richard Voszler was found guilty nearly 10 years ago for possessing a controlled substance and impaired driving in Coquitlam.

Now, the 44-year-old is on Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers' watch list as he's wanted on similar crimes — and others — in a neighbouring Tri-Cities community.

B.C. police are now seeking the public's help in finding Voszler.

According to his profile, published on Tuesday (Oct. 25), his arrest warrant is out of New Westminster and has been in effect since Oct. 18.

Crime Stoppers lists the following offences under Voszler's name:

  • Possession of schedule 1 substance
    • ie.) Heroin, cocaine, opium, oxycodone, fentanyl, morphine, methamphetamine and amphetamines
  • Possession of schedule 1/11 substance for purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of prohibited restricted firearm with ammunition

In February 2013, Voszler was charged a total of four counts on related crimes in Coquitlam.

Court records show that this included three counts for possessing a controlled substance and one count for "care or control vehicle or vessel while impaired."

The incidents took place in November 2011.

Voszler is described as:

  • Six feet tall
  • 315 pounds
  • Brown eyes
  • Brown hair
    • Could now have a shaved head
