Letter: 'Ambulance people are wasting our time'

The Editor,

Re. “Continued fight over fire/ambo dispatching” (The Tri-City News, April 18).

I fully support Fire Chief Nick Delmonico standing up for his firefighters helping residents of Port Coquitlam.

We need our firefighters coming to our aid when we call them when we need help. They are highly trained, skillful rendering aid to those who need medical help.

I have seen this first-hand and believe without them, many people would not be alive because of the professionals in those big red trucks. We need to let them do their jobs saving lives and being there for us.

The ambulance people are wasting our time showing up late just to drive us to the hospital.

Call the fire department and ask for fire/rescue. They know the area better and how to save lives.
